Most of us get pretty caught up with all the festivities this time of year. We're busy decorating, searching for the perfect gifts, and spending time with as many people we can, for as long as we can. Here are some easy peezy date ideas for you and your significant other to combat the holiday season rush!

Enjoy the sparkling lights // Put on some warm clothes and head outside to see the holiday lights! You can head over to Candy Cane Lane in Woodland Hills, LA Zoo Lights, or Enchanted Forest of Lights at Descanso Gardens. There are lots of holiday Christmas light displays all around the Los Angles and Orange County area. Like I always say, don't forget to do some research before heading out because some might be more worth while to you than others.

Do a good deed together // There are lots of organizations that welcome volunteers for help such as the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Mary's Food Bank, and Someone Cares. If you are a little shy or would like to help out but don't have the time, you can always make a contribution or donate a needed item. An easy way to help during the holidays is partaking in the Toys for Tots program.  All you have to do is drop off a new and unwrapped toy to one of their many locations

Christmas movie marathon // Enjoy your fave holiday movies for a date night in when the weather outside gets a little too chilly. Movies that are always popular during the holiday seasons are: Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Elf, and Bad Santa. Don't forget a warm blanket, bowl of freshly popped popcorn, and some hot chocolate!

Holiday sugar haze // Spend an afternoon building your dream gingerbread house or gingerbread train together! This is always a fun and easy holiday activity to do on any day. Make sure you have cookies baking in the oven to nosh after a hard day of building.

Get active // One of the great things of having cold and rainy weather is that we get fresh fluffy white snow! I know it's a drive to see snow for those living in LA or OC, but why not spend one day to enjoying the snow? There's lots of fun snow activities like snowboarding, skiing, tubing, and building  snowmen!

Hockey game // It's hockey season so don't forget to go to at least one game! Le Boyfriend and I went to our first ever hockey game recently and we totally recommend it! tickets are relatively cheaper than other sports which is always a plus. [See also: Our Hockey Game Experience].
